2025 FWCD Summer Reading: Upper School

Summer Reading Requirements for Upper School Students

Click on your grade level for the 2025-26 school year to view specific summer reading requirements.

                    

All summer reading assignments are due August 19, the first day of school. 

Upper School students have the following summer reading requirements:

  1. Universal Book: This is a book read by all Upper School students and faculty. Students will read, complete an assigned journal, and participate in the Universal Book Program in the Fall.
  2. Student Choice Book: Students will read a book from the choice books list and participate in discussions about this book in the Fall. 
  3. Grade-Level Required Reading for English Class: Students will complete an English assignment.
