The MLA list of Works Cited contains the sources used to gather information. Each item in the Works Cited list is made up of items in a specific order that include author, title of the source, title of the container, other contributors, version, number, publisher, publication date, and location. Students are usually permitted and encouraged to use citation management systems like NoodleTools to create their citations.
